Sometime back in the 90’s, a group of pioneering Dutch cannabis breeders set out to explore the wilds of South Africa, where they came across all kinds of new and exciting landrace strains. Upon returning home, these strains were experimented with, bred, and honed. One of the results was Power Plant, an instant classic that remains popular in Dutch coffeeshops to this day. Power Plant XL is Zambeza Seeds’ take on this old-school legend, revitalising its genetics and improving upon an already excellent strain.
The flavour of Power Plant XL is best described as an earthy, sweet and sour experience. It is packed full of citrusy goodness, which is followed up with the dank, pine taste that can be found in so many classic strains of weed. The high induced is extremely potent and uplifting, energising the mind while causing euphoria. Power Plant is also known to seep through the body, easing it down without fully numbing it, making it an attractive get-up and go strain for many.
In the grow room, Power Plant XL manages to maintain a moderate size, while still producing insane yields. Expect heights reaching up to 1.5m and a yield of roughly 55-75g per plant (600-750g/m2), after 8-9 weeks flowering. Outdoors, things get bigger, including the yields. In this situation, Power Plant XL can reach heights of up to 2m, and is able to produce 100g per plant in ideal conditions.
