Amnesia is a sativa-dominant (65%) cannabis strain that was bred by crossing Cinderella 99 with Jack Herer. It is a Dutch strain that has long been revered in the cannabis breeding world. It is a vigorous-growing plant with good yield potential.
Growers will need to provide a means of support when growing this plant, even though it only grows to be 100 - 120 cm. tall, as the buds on its lateral branches are as dense and heavy as those on the central cola. Its relatively short flowering time for a sativa-dominant strain coupled with great pest resistance makes this a plant that even the novice can be successful with. In a 9 week flowering period indoor growers will harvest 450 - 500 gr/m2 whereas outdoors the yield can be as high as 550 - 600 gr/m2 with harvest time being during the month of November in northern latitudes. This late outdoor harvest will mean that only those living in regions where the weather can be relied upon until that late date should consider this strain as viable for outdoor cultivation.
The perfume of Amnesia is very refined and is reminiscent of incense with notes of cedar wood and spices. In contrast the flavour is of sweet, ripe citrus fruits. Amnesia has a high THC production which has been measured by the Canna Foundation at 16.38% with low CBD of 0.1%. The effect is highly cerebral, energetic and good for creativity. Therapeutic applications include nausea and stress.
